Recently, accident reports reported that a 10-year-old girl was run over by a speeding water tanker in Kovilambakkam after she accidentally fell from the two-wheeler driven by her mother. The accident was reported on Monday under tragic circumstances. The child’s name was identified as Leora Sri, who was living with her mother Keerthi in Kovilambakkam. On the other hand, her father works in Germany. One Monday morning, the girl and her mother moved to Madipakkam, where the school was.
It is learned that the police believe that Keerthi lost control of her vehicle due to heavy traffic and manholes. Both of them suddenly fell onto the road in the accident, and a tanker approached from behind them and ran over Leora.
After the tragic accident, the driver parked the tanker a few meters away from the scene, jumped out of the car and ran away. However, he was later arrested by the police and charged with the same crime. According to sources, an official from the Pallikaranai traffic investigation team said the girl was declared dead on arrival at the hospital. The truck driver was later identified and his name is David Rajan, 28 years old.
