Logan Paul is facing backlash after being accused of offering victims of his cryptocurrency project, CryptoZoo, 5–10% of their losses.
In early 2023, YouTube investigator ‘Coffeezilla’ released a video claiming Logan Paul’s cryptocurrency-based blockchain project, CryptoZoo, was his “biggest scam yet.”
Therefore, Paul promised to spend 1.8 million USD out of his own pocket to repay investors. However, nine months later, refund claimants are still waiting for their money to be returned.
Now, YouTuber ‘Kavos’ has taken to Twitter to give a supposed update on the situation and apparently, the long wait for refunds is due to “Paul’s best offer being 5–10% of the amount losses must be borne”.
Kavos insisted he had obtained his information from “reliable sources”, calling Paul’s offer an “absolute disgrace”.
“So when you hear Logan say he’s trying to ‘fix’ the situation. He was really trying to get away with as little as possible,” Kavos wrote. “In response to this ‘offer,’ Logan and his team attempted to have the case dismissed. There is absolutely no responsibility or understanding for his actions.”
Many were outraged and confused by Paul’s supposed “offer,” to one letter writer; “It makes no sense, Logan made more money than these crypto scams ever made him. Maybe he just hates his fans and wants to annoy them, that’s the only logical reason.”
However, some wanted to see Kavos’s “reliable sources” before passing judgment, and others said the victim had dug his own grave; “The money lost belongs to those who suffered it.”
Paul has yet to respond to these latest allegations, however, in late September, he stated that his silence was due to the “legal position” he holds.
