Love is Blind fans are outraged by Izzy’s “nasty” ageist comments towards Stacy 2023

Love is Blind viewers were upset by Izzy’s comments about Stacy’s age in the chaotic aftermath of Season 5, Episode 10.

Stacy and Izzy finally made it to the altar in Love is Blind, Part 5. Even though Izzy was ready to get married and say “I do,” Stacy ultimately decided that she wasn’t prepared for the union forever with Izzy.

However, although Stacy is not ready to marry Izzy, she still implies that she still wants to date him. The last thing she is looking for is “more time” for them to get to know each other before officially getting married.

Things turned sour when Izzy made some bitter comments toward her ex-fiancé during a post-wedding confessional. While he was understandably hurt, fans weren’t happy with his ageist comments about Stacy, which left viewers feeling uncomfortable.

Izzy insults Stacy for not being married at her age in Love is Blind

Initially in Season 5 of Love is Blind, Izzy and Stacy seemed to get along great.

But things took a turn for the worse when Stacy told Izzy that he hadn’t been honest with her about his financial situation.

What upset Stacy was the fact that he lied to her, not the financial issue. Due to the dishonesty, along with some other suspicions, Stacy wanted to support their relationship and get to know each other better before officially agreeing to get married.

However, her refusal at the altar upset Izzy to the point of insulting her, saying, “That makes me wonder why you’re 33 years old, single, and not married.” What he meant was that Stacy was “too old” to be so picky about who she chose as her life partner.

Of course, fans of the reality series criticized the reality star for this unfair comment.

“My blood boiled when he declared ‘makes me wonder why you’re 33 and not married,’” one fan wrote on the Love is Blind Subreddit. “Dude, I understand you’re hurt, but you don’t have the right to shame people for having certain standards for a marriage. I really don’t like Stacy, but I find her stance disingenuous and needs more time to get to know him.”

Another fan agreed, writing: “When people are feeling emotional, they often express how they really feel deep inside. Izzy clearly has misogynistic ideas about women and when he didn’t get what he wanted – he told us how he really felt.”
