After being announced as the lead actor in the Indiana Jones sequel directed by James Mangold (Logan), the trailer for star Mads Mikkelsen’s most recent action thriller, Riders of Justice, has been released. .
Danish filmmaker Anders Thomas Jensen directed the film. His short film Election Night won the Academy Award for Best Live Action Short Film in 1998, and he recently co-wrote the screenplay for the live-action adaptation of Stephen King’s The Dark Tower, His first work on an American feature film.
Riders of Justice “follows newly deployed Markus (Mads Mikkelsen), who is forced to return home to care for his teenage daughter after his wife dies in a tragic train accident. This movie looks crazy and seems to be an interesting mix of an action movie and a black comedy. The film also got off to a good start with positive reviews from both audiences and critics. Between Mads Mikkelsen facing off against some villainous bikers to the smart directing and clean cinematography, Riders of Justice looks like it’ll be a treat for all genre fans. kind of “revenge action thriller”.
Danish-born Mads Mikkelsen is known for his roles as villain Le Chiffre in the James Bond film Casino Royale, iconic cannibal doctor Dr. Hannibal Lector in the Hannibal film series, and magician Kaecillius in Marvel’s Doctor Strange and Death Star technician Galen Erso in the Star Wars spin-off Rogue One. He even received the Cannes Film Festival Award for Best Actor for his role as Lucas in the Danish film The Hunt, proving he has the acting qualities to be a leading man.
Riders of Justice is scheduled to hit theaters on May 14 and will be available on demand on May 21.
