A TikToker recently issued a dire warning against coffee vending machines. The worker cleaning the machines posted an image revealing the inside.
TikTok appears to be a hub for employees to expose dirty secrets about their jobs. McDonald’s employees in particular seem to enjoy spilling tea.
We’ve had the dangers of the Big Mac explained to us by the chefs of the legendary burger joint and the workers who drive the lids of their Big Brother-style ordering machines.
Continuing the trend of exposing the underbelly of our quick fixes, TikTok user @tuftedkibbles24 issues a warning to people about vending machine coffee.
@tuftedkibbles24 explains that they are commercial cleaners whose job is to maintain coffee vending machines. “’I never recommend drinking anything from them,’ they declare via text overlay,
The TikTok they posted shows the inside of a coffee vending machine and how nasty things can get inside the machine between cleaning cycles. The trash can is filled with debris and the close-up of the dirt inside paints a rather unpleasant picture.
Unfortunately for @tuftedkibbles24, some users in the comments section blamed them and not the machines. “Dude said I’m not good at my job,” one user protested. “You can’t do your job well and check on machine maintenance,” another person replied.
Others claimed to have a better understanding of @tuftedkibbles24’s work and mocked people for criticizing them. One user explained: “Love how these people don’t realize, people calling this guy out because they don’t clean their own machines thoroughly enough.”
UnsplashMaybe we’ll just focus on coffee shops.
Regardless of who is responsible for the state of these machines, @tuftedkibbles24’s TikTok seems like a good enough reason to avoid them.
Even so, some would say it’s a no-brainer. For the brave among us, you get what you pay for.
