Markiplier has finally confirmed whether he will have a cameo in the feature film Five Nights at Freddy’s, putting all speculation to rest.
Less than 10 days since its release on October 27, ‘Five Nights at Freddy’s’ is ready to make a splash in theaters.
The beloved horror game franchise is being brought to life by Blumhouse Productions and with many fans of the scary animated film, a lot of rumors have been circulating regarding the upcoming film.
One person in particular theorized that Mark ‘Markiplier’ Fischbach would make a surprise appearance. Now he is putting all the speculations to rest and has finally given a concrete answer to fans in his latest livestream.
Streaming gameplay of Fazbear Nights (of course), Markiplier said: “I really want to talk about the movie Five Nights at Freddy’s. I know I’ve been very vague about it, I know I’ve been very mysterious about it.”
With unique gameplay, innovative lore, and tons of jump scares, it’s no surprise that Markiplier has been a fan of the series since it (and he) first rose to fame. So it’s reasonable for fans to assume he’ll be first in line when it comes to guest appearances in the series.
However, Markiplier brings some “terrible” news; “I will not be in the movie Five Nights at Freddy’s.”
Giving viewers time to “go crazy,” Markiplier explained that scheduling issues prevented the iconic cameo many were hoping for. He say; “Let’s get this straight, it should have happened… unfortunately, the movie Five Nights at Freddy’s and my movie, Iron Lung, were filmed at the same time.”

Although Markiplier tried his best to resolve the situation amicably, in the end Markiplier still had to make a difficult decision. However, for all the “disappointed” people left, there may still be a glimmer of hope on the horizon.
Scott Cawthon, the brand’s creator, commented on Markiplier’s video; “If we are lucky enough to make a sequel then hopefully we will have another chance to put the King of FNAF in an FNAF movie! I can’t wait for Iron Lung in the meantime!
