Comedian Matt Rife has hit back at a plastic surgeon on social media who suggested he “created the best jawline ever,” leading many to believe he was talk about Rife.
On November 15, 2023, Matt Rife released his third comedy special and his first on Netflix. That’s a great achievement for any comedian, and we can attribute it to his popularity on TikTok.
However, one of the jokes he opened the special with caused a bit of backlash. Matt also responded to the backlash, causing the comedian to protest even more.
A plastic surgeon joined in the hoopla, posting a video in which he said he had “created the most beautiful jawline ever,” leading many to believe he was talking about Matt Rife – and prompted a response from the comedian.
Matt Rife responded to the plastic surgeon on Instagram
On November 28, TikToker ManyFacesOfChicago, who is also a plastic surgeon, posted a video showing his reaction to “creating the most beautiful jawline ever only to have my patient canceled immediately afterwards”.
More than 14 thousand comments have been made on the now viral post and the majority of them claim that the post is about Matt Rife.
The surgeon also posted the clip on Instagram and received similar reactions, prompting Rife himself to comment on the video. Not long after, the comedian erased his thoughts.
“Lying about medical history is illegal, just so you know,” he said.
The surgeon has not commented on the interaction since Matt’s comments were made and deleted, but we’ll be sure to update you if he does.
