McDonald’s announced that they plan to release the long-awaited snack pack, but there’s been a glitch, leaving fans in a tug-of-war.
McDonald’s fans will recall when the chain decided to remove their favorite wrapped snack from the menu. After 10 long years, 2016 saw the premature demise of the lunchtime snack.
Apparently, the reason behind removing the product was because it was too complex to execute in such a fast-paced environment.
However, now everything is about to change. Joe Erlinger, President of McDonald’s USA commented on the chain’s menu expansion.
“(We) plan to make McCrispy available in most markets around the world by the end of 2025 and expand McCrispy to bundles and tenders. With this in mind, the McCrispy Wrap may not be exactly the same as the Snack Wrap, but it is as close to the previous menu item as fans are likely to get.”
Fans don’t know how to feel about the return of Snack Wraps
After a famous food blogger shared the news on Instagram, people were worried about the possibility of Snack Wraps returning to the menu.
One person commented: “Amazing!!! But knowing McDonald’s, they will now cost $5 each,” in reference to the exponential increase in prices at fast food establishments.
It’s safe to say that everyone is excited to see their favorite dish return, however, there is a general concern about the launch timeframe.
“2025? By then we will be extinct.”
“so what the hell are they waiting for?” another asked.
One commenter sarcastically said: “Yayyyy. Next up – fried apple pie will return in 2027… stay tuned.”
However, there are some treats that fast food fans can buy in December, as some of the biggest chains are now stocking a range of festive items.
