What happened to Lesley Trotter?
Trotter, a 78-year-old Queensland woman, went missing on March 28, and despite a massive search involving more than 130 police and Emergency Services volunteers State level but she was never found. Unfortunately, police have ruled out her death. It was a heartbreaking outcome for Trotter’s family and loved ones, who had hoped for her safe return. Police will continue to investigate and try to find out what happened to her. Lesley was last heard from at 11am on March 27 and was not discovered at her home the following day during a police search.
Interestingly, her phone and wallet were discovered left at home. On Friday, more than 40 investigators were observed at the apartment complex as part of the continuing investigation. Police are appealing for anyone who was in the vicinity of Maryvale Street during the said period to come forward and provide any information they may have. Additionally, police are asking anyone with relevant dashcam or CCTV footage to contact authorities between 5 and 7 a.m. on Tuesday, March 28. The police department is proceeding a comprehensive investigation and request for information to help them determine what happened to Trotter.
According to Detective Superintendent Massingham, Lesley Trotter died sometime between midnight on Monday, March 27 and lunchtime on Tuesday, March 28. However, no exact information is available about her death. she was announced by the police. “We believe her death occurred near her apartment complex on Maryvale Street, Toowong and we currently have two crime scenes established in that area,” police said. Trotter used to separate recyclables from regular debris by going through the trash cans outside her house and the neighborhood next door. He added that it could not be ruled out that the behavior was somehow linked to her death. Police took trash cans from the residential area to continue their investigation.
