Australian musician Anton Vallely reportedly received an undercooked burger from McDonald’s and he said it left him “wrecked”.
McDonald’s has built its entire brand around affordable food, low prices, and tons of novelty items.
Their fried, fat-dipped grilled dishes have brought smiles to millions of diners over the years.
However, a recent late-night excursion turned sour for an Australian man who ate a burger and got more than he bargained for.
Musician says McDonald’s undercooked burger left him “drunk”
According to one report, during a visit to McDonald’s in Coolum, Queensland, musician Anton Vallely ordered a quarter pounder. Around 2 a.m. after a few drinks, his night went from good to bad in a matter of minutes.
After a few bites of the burger, he noticed something about the texture wasn’t right. Fumbling in the dark, he used his phone’s light and discovered the burger was undercooked.
“I got sick as soon as I realized and now my throat feels weird and I’m sweating,” Vallely told a news outlet. Not only did his throat feel uncomfortable, but he immediately started vomiting.

Since the incident, he admitted that his singing voice has been affected. “I felt like there was a difference in my singing as well as the vomiting,” he added.
Despite vomiting and sweating, Vallelly did not see a doctor. “I don’t think it’s that bad. I didn’t die or anything, but I just thought it was worth saying something.”
A McDonald’s spokesperson said their investigation resulted in Vallely being given a “full refund and replacement meal”. The statement continued: “We take complaints of this type very seriously and will continue to work with the restaurant on necessary actions.”
