100 Thieves co-founder and CEO Matthew ‘Nadeshot’ Haag and co-owner Rachell ‘Valkyrae’ Hofstetter have hit back at speculation and concerns that they have left the organization.
Nadeshot won multiple CoD championships in OpTic Gaming — and even became a Red Bull athlete — before retiring from professional Call of Duty in 2015.
A year later, Nadeshot went on to found 100 Thieves, which has quickly grown to become one of the leading organizations in the world of esports, winning multiple championships across multiple titles, co while achieving success in the entertainment and apparel industries.
Since 2018, streaming star Valkyrae has worked alongside Nadeshot as one of the faces of the brand, before becoming a co-owner of the organization in 2021.
However, on December 10, it was rumored that the two had left 100 Thieves, when fans discovered that the franchise did not appear on their Twitter profiles. Not only that, the official 100 Thieves account appears to have unfollowed both.
Nadeshot & Valkyrae respond to leaving rumors about 100 Thieves
At the start of his December 10 livestream, Nadeshot responded to rumors after a viewer mentioned in his chat that even Google now claims he is the former CEO of 100 Thieves.
The retired CoD world champion made it clear to fans that he is not leaving the organization. “Chat I don’t control what Google says,” he replied. “Google doesn’t know me.”
Nadeshot added: “‘Former CEO,’ until I tell you that something has happened, nothing has happened, okay? Leave me alone.”
Valkyrae similarly addressed speculation during her latest broadcast after a fan noted that the organization no longer appears in her profile on Twitter/X. She replied: “Dear, I am promoting my goods, I will put it back after launch.”
The YouTube star further explained: “I’m still in 100 Thieves, I’m still a co-owner of 100 Thieves. “I removed it from my bio… I’m promoting my merch because it’s on sale in three days.”
Even though the rumors have been quashed, many fans still believe that something is going on within 100 Thieves. However, we’ll be sure to update you on any news right here on Dexerto as we learn more.
