NCF 2023: The Ministry of Education (MoE) has released the National Framework Curriculum for School Education (NCF). The authorities have made changes in the process of expanding education to students.
The ministry has released new guidelines for learning standards, content pedagogy and phased assessment under the National Education Policy, NEP 2020. According to the plan, the learning process will be improved.
NCF 2023: Students will be taught 29 hours per week
The proposal says that students in schools should have a total of 29 hours per week. NCF advised teaching hours based on world standards for all levels of school education. Also, the authorities made efforts to reduce the workload of students.
According to the proposed proposal, there will be five to five and a half hours each week (Monday to Friday). Students will also be offered free time to do their desired work. They will study for a few hours on the next 2 Saturdays, and Sunday will be a holiday. Introduction, practice, understanding, experimentation and extension will be adopted to explain the topic by the teacher.
NCF 2023: 220 school days; Vacation, national holidays set aside
According to the National Framework Curriculum, after deducting public holidays, annual holidays and vacations, there will be a total of 220 teaching/teaching days. Out of 220 days, more than 20 days can be devoted to assessment and all activities related to assessment. Furthermore, 20 days can be set aside for school events and other programs or activities.
