Nick ‘NICKMERCS’ Kolcheff has explained the slowdown in his streaming schedule, as he has appeared less on Twitch in recent weeks.

Nick has been streaming on Twitch for years, going from a small Call of Duty streamer to one of the biggest names in the entire industry, with tens of thousands of paid subscribers and even more viewers following per live stream.

He got into trouble in June for what many considered “anti-LGBT” tweets related to Pride month, leading to Activision pulling his Operator package from Call of Duty.

After a while, Nick returned to Twitch and tried to maintain a steady schedule, but throughout September, things became a bit more sporadic.

NICKMERCS explains the inconsistent broadcast schedule

Speaking about it in a YouTube video posted on September 20, Nick admitted that he hasn’t been streaming much due to family commitments as a new father.

“I regret not streaming much,” he said to start the video. “I said it’s going to be a tough month because we have a lot of families coming here. This is the first child for both parties. So when I tell you we’ve been dealt with by our grandparents, parents, aunts, uncles and cousins… It’s a celebration, man. This is crazy.”

At the time of writing, Nick had only streamed 8 times in September in 20 days, after rarely missing a day in months, so he may have had some regular viewers curious about what happened.

Luckily, it’s not bad news at all, but it seems like he’s ready to get back in the car and stream more often.
