A TikToker has revealed that Olive Garden will sell you their cheese grater as former employees claim “Everything there has a price”.
When it comes to favorite food chains, Olive Garden is at the top of many people’s lists. The Italian-American restaurant serves up casual dining with some big-ticket perks, from unlimited salads to its famous breadsticks and piled-high pastas.
Now, it seems there’s another reason for customers to head to their local Olive Garden, as TikTokers have discovered there’s more to sell there than just food.
Jordan, who goes by the name ‘jordan_the_stallion8’ online, recently posted a video showcasing his latest purchase and his commenters revealed even more insider secrets.
When Jordan heard that Olive Garden was willing to sell him a cheese grater, he woke up at 6 a.m. to check if it was true. And they certainly did.
“I am 95.7% sure that it is not [going to] work,” Jordan admitted. “I went to Olive Garden, I went to the manager, all I said was ‘Cheesegrater’ and she looked at me and said ‘Give me a minute’.”
Not only that, Jordan was also given a free cheese sample to “try out”. “They gave me a lot of cheese to shred,” he said. I don’t think you understand how this has changed my life.”
And he’s not the first to buy the useful device from Olive Garden, he was initially inspired by another TikToker, ‘bo_gjerness’.
According to Jordan’s commenters, selling random items in their store is not unusual behavior for Olive Garden employees. One person wrote, “Former Olive Garden employees- they will sell you a lot of stuff. Do you like sangria? They will sell the syrup you need and give you recipes.”
Another said: “Everything is there [has] price. One of my managers once sold a painting on the wall.” The third person agreed; “Yes, they will sell you anything that isn’t nailed to the wall.”
