Reddit users are going crazy after seeing Pokemon TCG artist Tomokazu Komiya’s Wiglett from the Paradox Rift expansion.
Wiglett, a water-type Eel Pokemon with the ‘slime’ ability, is modeled after a garden eel. Despite Wiglett’s obvious, not at all phallic appearance, this Pokemon has been widely criticized since its recent release for looking…inappropriate.
An innocent reddit user, Pizza_TrapDaddy, claims that they found this card in ‘mom’s drawer’ and they were wondering “what it means”. Another Redditor, GoomyIsGodTier, was on the edge of their seat after getting lucky and finding both reversals in their ETB, describing the feeling of pulling Wiglett as making them ‘shake’.
Why does this suggested Pokemon card make fans question whether TPC is trolling people?
Wiglett appears to be ecologically and anatomically related to Diglett, his mainland co-evolution from the Red, Blue, Yellow generation, who also suffered a lot of digging in the past. When will inappropriate Pokemon jokes end? Even Wiglett stuffed animal not safe from abuse.
bb_LemonSquid quipped about the toy controversy, “What’s up with the Wiglett stuffed animal? He looks exactly like him. You all have dirty minds.”
Despite the controversy surrounding Wiglett and its unintentionally suggestive appearance, it’s a reminder that the diverse and imaginative world of Pokémon can sometimes lead to humorous, provocative interpretations. sparks conversations and debates among its fans.
