The film became the highest-earning film of both Samantha and Ram Charan’s career, grossing over 200 crores at the global box office.
The legendary Kannada period action dramas “KGF 1” and “KGF 2,” starring superstar Yash, were also released in Japan on July 14. Together they earned 11 million , equivalent to 65 lacs, in the first week of its release with around 7840 admissions. The first KGF film brought in 5.8 million (35 lacs) from 4120 views, while the second film brought in 5.2 million (30 lacs) from 3720 views. Both films have received good word of mouth so it will be interesting to see how they develop in the future. KGF’s two films, directed by Prashanth Neel, have grossed around 1450 crore at the global box office. With around $1210 million, “KGF: Chapter 2” is the fourth highest-grossing Indian film of all time.
