A documentary by Morgan Neville about the late famous chef Anthony Bourdain will hit theaters this summer.

“Anthony Bourdain did more to help us understand each other than anyone in the history of television,” Morgan said of his 2019 plans for the Bourdain documentary, a joint venture between CNN, HBO and Focus Films.
“He connects with people not because of his flaws but because of them. It is humbling to have the opportunity to tell my story.”
Bourdain rose to prominence after publishing the book Kitchen secrets: Adventures in the culinary world in 2000, before gaining a huge worldwide audience thanks to its engaging and culturally savvy CNN series Unknown partsfocusing not only on the food but also on the people who create it.
Bourdain died in June 2018 at the age of 61 after committing suicide.
