A man called Jaguar Palace was the head of one of the largest drugs investigations the UK has ever seen. Jaguar Palace’s operation was described by police as the largest drug trafficking operation in the East of England in history. What is known about this man is his name. Robert Brooks, also known as Jaguar Palace, was the mastermind of a vast drug trafficking enterprise that involved importing around €58 million worth of heroin and cocaine from Hertfordshire. A total of 1,835 kilograms of Class A drugs, worth between €42 million and €58 million, are estimated to have been transported by him during his delivery. Police used cell site data to prove that Brooks was the person using the codename Jaguar Palace and that Brooks carried the encrypted phone with him wherever he went.

Brooks had no previous convictions and worked part-time as a driving instructor. He had a young son and was married at the time of his arrest. On his son’s birthday, Brooks made a distressed call from the police station after being detained. Brooks ended the conversation after pretending to call from the office by saying, “Okay dude, talk to you later, love you.”

Brooks pleaded guilty to conspiring to circumvent the prohibition on importation of Class A drugs by deception. Additionally, he admitted to possessing illegal items between November 2018 and August 2019. In September 2020, Brooks was sentenced to 21 years in prison at St. Louis Court. Albans Crown for his crimes. Following a raid on property at Little Samuels Farm, police arrested Richard Campbell and Tomasz Wozniak. Campbell, a warehouse worker from Milton Keynes, pleaded guilty to conspiracy to illegally import heroin and cocaine. He received a sentence of 13 years and six months in September 2020. Wozniak, a forklift driver from MK, admitted conspiracy to supply cocaine and heroin. He served six years and three months in prison.
