The CEO of Rumble has explained why Russell Brand will not be stripped of his monetization rights following sexual assault allegations against him in order to protect “constitutional values.”

In an open letter shared on Twitter, Rumble responded to Parliament by writing: “While Rumble clearly deplores sexual assault, rape and all serious crimes… this It’s important to note that the recent allegations against Russell Brand have nothing to do with the content on Rumble’s platform.”
Stating that the company represents “very different values” than YouTube, the letter continues; “We have dedicated ourselves to the important cause of championing a free Internet — that is, an Internet where no one arbitrarily dictates what ideas can and cannot be heard, or what which people may or may not enjoy a foundation.”
Rumble also called the UK Parliament’s request “deeply inappropriate and dangerous,” concluding with an “empathetic refusal” that the company would not engage in “cancel culture.”
The Rumble Local, Media and Culture Committee has been asked by the House of Commons to confirm whether Brand can monetize content.
