Cricket icon Sachin Tendulkar joined the “Click Here” trend on Xu (formerly Twitter) on Monday, adding an alt text, or alt text, on Joke Day.

Tendulkar shared the viral image which has a plain white background with “click here” written in bold black font, along with a diagonally pointing down arrow.

“Nothing to see here, happy April Fool’s Day!” Tendulkar wrote on X.

On the first of April, numerous pranks and pranks appeared on social networks, which many users fell for.

Others to join the click here trend were political parties including the BJP and the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP).

Shiv Sena leader Priyanka Chaturvedi was among the politicians who wondered what the furor was about.

“What is the story of the picture click here.? My timeline is full of it!” she wrote on X on Saturday.

The Delhi Police also came forward on Sunday, sharing their take on the online pattern. Their image caption for the “Click Here” post included a word of warning for internet users:

“Unknown links ko click karoge toh scam ho sakta hai (If you click on unknown links, you may be scammed),” it said.
