Star Wars fans are in for a treat Obi-Wan Kenobi. Disney+’s new series just debuted its full cast and it’s very exciting. Ewan McGregor will return as the titular Jedi Master and Hayden Christensen will return as Darth Vader.
The rest of the cast is an incredible collection of actors. Moses Ingram (The Queen’s Gambit), Joel Edgerton (Gift, combatant), Bonnie Piesse (Star Wars: Attack of the Clones), Kumail Nanjiani (Severe illness, stubborn), Indira Varma (Game of Thrones), Friend Rupert (Assassin: Agent 47), O’Shea Jackson Jr. (Cave of thieves), Sung Kang (Fast and furious franchise), Simone Kessell (first%) and Benny Safdie (Uncut gems) are relevant.
As you can see, it’s a cast filled with some very big names. The film is set 10 years after the events of Star Wars: Revenge of the Sith and begins shooting next month. While there’s no word on what characters these actors will be portraying, it’s safe to assume that Joel Edgerton and Bonnie Piesse will return as Owen and Beru Lars, Luke Skywalker’s guardians, so is the role they played in the prequel series.
The new show will also be directed by Deborah Chow, who held the camera for two episodes of Mandalorians first season.
Obi-Wan Kenobi will launch Disney+ in 2022.
