Starbucks customers cry out for oversharing with unsuspecting drivers 2023

September 25 is Murder Victims’ Remembrance Day, honoring those who have lost their lives and advocating for loved ones who have survived.

In honor of her late husband, a TikToker decided to pay for another customer’s order at Starbucks with a kind gesture.

However, her approach led to backlash as viewers criticized the TikToker for “traumatizing” the unsuspecting employee.

With her TikTok account, ‘chin_up_sunshine_’, dedicated to “changing lives,” Lisa Mia has left the Internet divided after a seemingly well-intentioned trip to Starbucks.

Arriving at the drive-thru window, Lisa told the employee that she also wanted to pay for the back order.

“Today is Murder Memorial Day and my husband was brutally murdered, so today I just want to show some love,” she said.

Lisa also told the young bartender that someone she had lost was watching over her, saying, “She’s always watching you and she loves you.”

While some viewers were moved by the TikToker’s actions, many felt she was oversharing and called Lisa “traumatic.”

“I’m so sorry and I can’t imagine what that must have been like. But don’t do that to strangers while they’re at work,” one person wrote. Another said: “Absolutely no time or place.”
