The server went viral after the couple refused to tip her because she couldn’t adjust their bill 2023

A woman on TikTok shared why a couple refused to tip her, simply because she couldn’t adjust the bill for them, and fans are furious.

In a video that has garnered 1.7 million views, a woman named Gina shared the seemingly strange reason why a couple refused to tip her.

She starts the video by setting the camera down on the counter ready for story time. “Okay, do you want to hear why I didn’t get a tip tonight?” the TikToker asked, clearly aggravated by the tone of her voice.

She explained that an older couple went to the unnamed restaurant and ordered “Double pork chops, baked potatoes with all the avocado, green beans and a plate to share.” She repeated the order to the couple, just to make sure she wrote everything correctly.

She said she then “Entered it into the damn computer” before checking on their dining experience once the meal arrived. They seemed satisfied, that is, until they got the bill, and the man angrily gesticulated at the waitress, saying “Hey… I asked for a pork rib, we didn’t even I can eat all of this.”

She was surprised by his statement, because not only had the man ordered a double pork chop and not a single, but the couple’s plate was also completely empty, except for a “piece of potato skin.”

However, the man was adamant, causing her to talk to the manager, who of course shared the same opinion. The manager told them “Well, you must be very hungry, because you’ve already eaten everything.”

Even so, the couple was adamant, saying, “Well, the waitress didn’t pay me the check so I won’t tip her.”

In the video, Gina is clearly excited and blurts out “So this man actually didn’t tip me because he only asked for one piece, ate the whole piece and didn’t tip me.”

TikTok is angry because the couple is rude

Commenters on TikTok rallied to Gina’s defense and had a lot to say on the matter. One person explicitly stated “Those people will never tip you.”

Another person wished she could be a fly on the wall, saying “Waitresses should wear GoPros.” One person fantasizes about an ideal solution in which: “Your boss treats your tips as an administrative expense and bars customers.”

Others were surprised at the low cost of the order, claiming: “The order was only $24, why did they stumble.”

Perhaps the most interesting thing was that people quickly guessed which establishment the woman worked at. It seemed like everyone was unanimous in their guess.

“Why do I know this is Texas Roadhouse EARLY like you said, double?” Another agreed, “This made the Texas Roadhouse guests scream. They are a different breed.”

The establishment where Gina works is yet to be confirmed, however, commentators claim that “Everyone must wait tables for at least a week”.

However, customers don’t always cause a stir over how they treat service staff. Thousands of people were stunned after this DoorDash driver threw a customer’s food order on the ground because they didn’t leave a tip.
