The teacher was fired after former union members sent his Twitch clips to colleagues 2023

MMO streamer BlueSquadron was fired from his teaching position after former guild members allegedly contacted the school he worked at.

A clip of BlueSquadron breaking down on air after telling the story of his firing exploded on Reddit. The clip, which has more than 65,000 views, shows the streamer explaining that he was fired due to former union members contacting his workplace.

BlueSquadron primarily streams Black Desert, a sandbox-oriented fantasy MMORPG as well as IRL content. Although BlueSquadron has a smaller following, his situation has attracted support in the streaming community.

After being removed from the Black Desert society earlier this week, some members are said to have contacted the school where he worked and shared the content he had uploaded. This is also not the first case of this as teachers have been fired in the past for posting inappropriate content on TikTok.

BlueSquadron’s YouTube channel and Twitch streams were shared with the school, including clips of him swearing and speaking about topics unrelated to school. When he found out about the school and his students, he knew it was only “a matter of time” before he was fired.

Before sharing his future plans, BlueSquadron begins by giving background on his situation with the school. He also shared that he felt he had disappointed his father when he was fired from this position.

“My father is the dean of the school. Honestly, the hardest part of the day is going to see your dad and [say] ‘I’m sorry’,” BlueSquadron said. “It’s bound to happen, but you don’t want it to have a negative impact [his dad]and you just want your parents to be proud of you.”

Despite losing his job, BlueSquadron assured his community that he’s not going anywhere. Because of his love for content creation, BlueSquadron announced he would “double down” and focus on content creation.

BlueSquadron took the time to answer some of the questions that accompanied the clip in the original Reddit post. He explained that the content itself is not NSFW but is in a space where there is little that can be done to make the content ‘G.’

“No one had any idea because I never let my gaming and online life affect my professional career. However, once the two worlds collide, I need it to perish.”

Before signing off, BlueSquadron made sure to extend his appreciation to the school, students, and faculty he got to know during his time there.

“I love the faculty and they have made this an absolutely amazing place to call home,” said BlueSquadron. “Sadly my teaching days are over but this is truly the beginning of my creative career. I wish them all the best and godspeed.”
