These days, on the large construction site of Vinh Tuy 2 bridge, more than 500 workers are working at night to ensure successful completion in 2023.
Starting from January 2021, the Vinh Tuy 2 bridge project across the Red River connecting Hai Ba Trung district and Hoan Kiem district (Hanoi) has been started with a total investment of about 2,538 billion VND. The consultant is the Traffic Construction Investment Project Management Board and Hanoi City People’s Committee.
Vinh Tuy 2 bridge was built with the same configuration and style as Vinh Tuy 1 bridge and parallel to Vinh Tuy 1 bridge. The construction project was completed after three years. The bridge is 3.5 km long, 19.25 m wide, has four vehicle waves (two motor vehicle waves, one bus wave, one general wave and walking strip).
The bridge is designed permanently with steel concrete and steel concrete to withstand level 8 earthquake energy.
The beginning of Vinh Tuy 2 bridge intersects with Tran Quang Khai – Nguyen Khoai – Minh Khai street (Hai Ba Trung district), the end point intersects with Long Bien – Thach Ban street (Long Bien district).

Vinh Tuy 2 bridge project is on the list of key projects of Hanoi city, aiming to complete the entire ring road 2; enhance circulation between the two banks of the Red River and meet the increasing transportation demand between the urban center and the northern and northeastern areas of the city.
Currently, the brass houses are trying to complete the construction of the pedestals and pillars under the river before April 2022 and will continue to construct the configurations of the above items by June 2022.
Workers working on bridge piers under the Red River this season face many difficulties and hardships due to wind, cold and fog every early morning.

As expected, the project completed in 2023 will help complete Ring Road 2 infrastructure, enhancing traffic capacity between the Red River coast.
