A TikToker went viral after saying there are two different girls, those who buy drinks from Starbucks and those who like Dunkin’ Donuts.
In a video that has garnered more than 665,700 views, a TikToker sparked debate on the platform after saying that a girl’s character can be judged based on whether she shops at Starbucks or Dunkin’.
Clearly a Dunkin’ girl herself, as she can be seen holding the classic mug, she said: “There are two kinds of girls. There are Dunkin’ Donuts girls, and there are Starbucks girls, okay?”
“Starbucks girls will only go to Starbucks. They will not be seen inside Dunkin’ Donuts because the coffee tastes very different.”
“They usually get the same order every time, but they will switch Starbucks because they love Starbucks… They will go whenever they see it. They don’t care that it’s $12 for a grande, but whatever,” she continued.
She then went on to describe the Dunkin’ girls: “(They) had to go to their Dunkin’ Donuts. They set up a Dunkin’ Donuts so they could get their orders right, but they don’t even really love the taste of the coffee because 99% of the time it will taste like pond water. And they love the beauty there because they really don’t care.”
“This is really just the beginning of using the bathroom in the morning,” she said.
People weigh in on the Starbucks VS Dunkin’ Girls debate
Below the video, people eagerly participated in the debate and commented on what type of girl they were based on Jacqueline’s assessment.
“As a Dunkin girl, this is so accurate,” one person replied, siding with her.
“I love Dunkin’ right next to my house, I always change my order and it’s always so much better than Starbucks.”
However, many people sided with Starbucks, saying “You just explained why Starbucks girls only go to Starbucks. Pond water is nothing to me.”
“And you have to go to Dunkin’ similarly because it’s so inconsistent and unreliable. Please, I’ll pay $2 more for the vanilla ice cream cold brew with hazelnuts,” another agreed.
Some people say they don’t belong to any particular group: “I’m a Dunkin’ girl in the summer and spring but a Starbs girl in the fall and winter.”
Regardless of the girl’s comments, the video has clearly sparked a debate.
