TikToker Mya Farley posted a video of SZA arguing with her in her direct messages, which went viral.
When it comes to celebrity interactions, fans never know what to expect when they finally get to talk to their idols, which in this case didn’t go very well.
TikToker Mya Farley shared a video of SZA arguing with her in a direct message after the Grammy-winning artist responded to her Instagram story.
She explained in the TikTok video that it stemmed from her posting a meme online that involved her displaying a sign that read “SZA Whack” during the star’s concert.
However, SZA didn’t see the funny side and their interaction went viral.
Fans reveal SZA DMed her for “hurtful” meme post
She began by saying, “How do I live knowing that one of the biggest music artists of the decade personally hates me DMing me for an hour straight,” she said.
As for fans, the “SZA Wack” meme has been circulating for years and that it is “just a joke,” however SZA disagrees.
She showed off a series of screenshots in the three-minute clip, showing heated DMs exchanged between the two.
“I don’t think you realize how bad it really was and how much it hurt and how much it DESTROYED my confidence and my desire to perform live,” SZA replied when the two started arguing.
“I have feelings, a life, and anxieties just like anyone else. It’s really hard to have the courage to go on stage and even want to do your job. My feelings are important,” SZA said.
At the time of writing, SZA has not yet responded to the claims and Mya Farley has provided no further updates.
