TikToker in pain after charging customers $14 for drinks 2023

A TikToker was left horrified after she accidentally charged a customer $1,453 for a coffee instead of the usual price of $14.53 and had to ‘hide’ from them.

TikTok has become a platform for users to share stories from their daily lives instead of just talking about dances, new works of art, and other creations.

Of course, that includes a lot of ongoing horror stories. Some TikTokers have recorded themselves getting fired while trying to make videos of their day, others have clashed with Airbnb hosts over the condition of the house they’re staying in, etc.

Well, one TikToker – Alexander Saint Von – had another scary case after she revealed that she overcharged a customer for a cup of coffee, causing her to hide from them for a bit.

That’s right, the TikToker, who worked as a barista, was supposed to charge customers $14.53 for their order but accidentally went over that amount.

Instead, she charged them $1,453 for the order. “I’m just a 23 year old teenage girl. Don’t be mad at me,” she said in her post, which received more than 33,000 views at the time of writing.

Many viewers understood the mistake, even if Alexa had to hide from customers. “I’ve done this before. Luckily the person was happy about it and my manager was able to cancel it,” one person said. “This is what I would do,” said another.

Alexander noted that the order was eventually voided and the customer received his money back. “It was disabled, laugh out loud. The customer was extremely understanding and their money was returned to them,” she said in her comments.

A word to the wise is to always check your invoice before paying. You never know, you could be hit with a large unexpected fee.
