TikToker went viral for showing how to properly open a soda can 2023

A TikToker has gone viral for demonstrating how to open a can of soft drink the ‘proper’ way using a trick that has left viewers confused.

Hamptons Review Crew (hamptons.review.c) is a content creator who shares videos about “tips, tricks, hacks, and products to make your life easier.”

In one of his recent TikToks, he reposted his latest discovery from another user – sothedopest – showing an incredible trick for opening a soda can.

The video begins with a man arranging two soda cans into a vertical stack. He then tilts the top can to one side and then the other, which allows him to use the ledge on the top can to pull up the tab on the bottom can. Hear the sound of gas escaping when the bottom can be opened successfully.

Hamptons tagged the original creator in the caption of his clip, which has now gone viral with over 5 million views. “Mourning all my broken nails opening cans!!! This is great!” he added.

TikTok users who have difficulty opening cans of soda have welcomed this genius trick and found it very useful.

“Gotta try that. As someone who often bites my nails, I always have to use a knife to open cans,” one person commented. “Game changer,” another added. “A little tip for when I get my nails done,” another said.

However, others were less impressed. “This is more work than using your hands,” one user wrote. “Can’t buy two cans in this economy,” another quipped.

Some people shared their own helpful tips for opening cans of soda. “Press down on the part that actually opens, then it raises the tab so you can open it easily,” one person commented.

“The top of the can is the fulcrum. Press down on one side and the other side will pop up,” another person shared. “I used my drum to open a new one,” added a third.
