Tommy’s mother, Tawana Polk, is American, and his father, Anhtuan, is the son of a Vietnamese mother and an African-American father. Pham also has a close twin sister named Brittany, born just 2 minutes later. Going into detail, Tommy’s ethnicity is Vietnamese-American. He became the first Vietnamese American to play in a major league game since 2006. When Tommy and Brittany were 5 years old, their mother Tawana married an electrician named Fred Polk.
