Focus Features has just released the official trailer of the game Roadrunner: Movie About Anthony Bourdain before hitting theaters on July 16.
“It’s almost never about the food, it’s about Tony learning how to be a better person,” celebrity chef David Chang says at the start of the trailer, warning that “there is no positive ending Queen”.
Bourdain died in June 2018 at the age of 61 after committing suicide.
Roadrunner: Movie About Anthony Bourdain is an intimate, behind-the-scenes look at how an unknown chef became a world-famous cultural icon.
Directed by Oscar-winning filmmaker Morgan Neville (20 feet from the star), the trailer gives us a glimpse of “an unabashed look at Bourdain that resonates with his presence, with his very voice, and the way he impacts the world around him in a indelible way.”
The film is told through the reflections of his colleagues and friends, his famous TV show. Unknown partsHome videos and unreleased material.
Roadrunner: Movie About Anthony will have its world premiere at the Tribeca Film Festival on June 11 before hitting theaters on July 16.
Most of the popular film festival’s screenings will be held at outdoor and drive-in venues due to restrictions caused by the Pandemic.
The series will also air later on CNN and the HBO Max streaming service.
