Twitch is introducing a new feature that allows streamers to seamlessly cut their broadcasts and upload highlights straight to TikTok.
If there’s a way to get your Twitch channel in front of a larger audience, it’s through TikTok. This is why so many streamers, from the biggest ones like Mizkif and Kai Cenat to new personalities just starting out tend to upload clips to TikTok.
However, having to edit a clip streaming in landscape format, converting it into a suitable vertical video is quite a task, especially if you also have a webcam that you want to include.
This is why Twitch saw fit to roll out a new feature that allows streamers to seamlessly share clips directly on TikTok, all converted to vertical format for your convenience.
First revealed in early May of this year, Twitch is now also starting to roll out the ability to share clips on Tiktok, starting with access for select streamers. In previous iterations, streamers could only share their clips to YouTube Shorts or other social media sites. This was the first time people thought of TikTok.
Previously, streamers had to download their vertical clips and upload them directly to TikTok after some editing work. But now, streamers can not only upload their best moments, but also set up other post settings like allowing comments, duets, and pairings, all without need to leave Twitch.
The clip editor rolled out in May allows streamers to convert their clips into vertical videos, but also allows them to easily edit their webcams into clips without needing much editing experience.
As TikTok grows bigger and bigger, it’s no surprise that many Twitch streamers want to bring their content to the platform, and the new feature helps them do that.
