Twitch streamer was allegedly assaulted by a man impersonating a police officer 2023

An IRL streamer who goes by the name ‘Hazunats’ said she was confronted by a fake police officer, who she claims then assaulted her.

IRL streaming is a popular genre of broadcasting on Twitch – but it can also be a dangerous one, with many streamers encountering life-threatening situations in real time. For example, a Chinese live streamer had his hand amputated by a crazed man using a machete earlier this year during a terrifying live broadcast.

Despite the potential dangers of taking content to the streets, many creators continue to use the medium as their live stream source. The same is true for Hazunats, as she uses her platform primarily to review food at various restaurants during IRL broadcasts.

The small streamer caused a stir on Reddit after a clip of her addressing an assault she said she faced while filming in Freiburg in Breisgau, Germany.

Twitch streamer was led away by fake police in Germany

During a holiday broadcast, Hazunats were approached by a man wearing a shirt with a police badge on the chest. The man started talking to her and seemed to be trying to explain that she was not allowed to film in public. Due to the language barrier, the female live streamer could not understand what the man was saying and put the camera away.

In a subsequent broadcast, Hazunats said that she was allegedly led away by the man, whom she said she trusted because of the way he interacted with other German citizens. This included an alleged conversation between Hazunats and another German citizen, who explained that the man was taking her to the police station because of what she had done.

After being led away, Hazunats claimed that the man assaulted her, saying she then used her Discord server and asked her followers to help translate a conversation with actual police. Hauznats was then said to have been taken to hospital and examined for possible injuries.

Hazunats explained the situation and broke down what happened on her Twitch stream, going over a clip of her seen with the man who allegedly assaulted her.

So far, there have been no reports of the man in the Hazunats’ stream being arrested.
