Twitch streamer Skumnut has had his ban removed from the platform after his friend convinced staff at TwitchCon to let him return nearly a year later.

Twitch bans have continued to impact all types of streamers, from smaller creators who only attract a handful of viewers to top streamers with thousands of views.

The reason for the ban can be for many reasons, including hateful usernames, sexual content, offensive terms spoken by the streamer, etc.

With so many creators on the top streaming service, some smaller streamers have had a harder time getting their bans lifted over the years, even if they believe Twitch made a mistake.

This was the case for Skumnut, who was permanently banned almost a year ago after he was permanently banned for joking about kicking his friend to death.

However, his long-awaited ban ended on October 24 after his friend convinced the staff at TwitchCon to lift his ban.

The Twitch streamer eventually had his ban lifted after friends spoke with staff

StreamerBan confirmed Partner streamer Skumnut had his ban lifted via Twitter/X, with the ban lasting 11 months and 6 days.

Skumnut responded to the post: “I always come back” while also thanking fellow streamer Matt Apocolypse for speaking to Twitch staff at the event and getting his indefinite ban revoked .

The streamer’s joke that caused the permanent ban involved him going onto his friend’s stream and saying “I’ll kick you to death.” Fellow creators at the time laughed off the comment and explained to viewers that Skumnut said it because he had just completed a God of War playthrough “just for kicks.”
