Unsure What To Watch? Netflix Will Pick For You! 2023

In this age of constant content, we are all faced with the question “what do you want to watch?” After more than a decade since their streaming platform was first released, Netflix is ​​now giving us a “Play Something” option to choose what to watch for you based on preview preferences that’s yours. If you decide you don’t like its selection, with the touch of a button you can select “Play Something Else”.

According to Netflix’s official press release, when you press the Play Something button “you’ll instantly be shown a series or movie that we know you’ll love based on what you’ve seen before. Or with just one more click you can ‘Play something else’ and get:

• A brand new series or movie,
• A series or movie you are watching,
• A series or movie on your list, or
• An unfinished series or movie that you might want to watch again.

Now, if this sounds a little too Orwellian to you (or Fahrenheit 451 if you’re more of a Bradbury fan), don’t worry, you don’t have to use this feature. But for many of us who just want to relax and watch something while unwinding after a long day, this could be a life-changing choice for you.

Just think, with the push of a button, you can watch The Ranch or Bridgerton any time you want! But, I guess we could have done that already…

With the Play Something Else option, Netflix learns more about what you want to watch or don’t want to watch at any given time, making their future recommendations more “branded” than before. The Play Something tool is now located on the navigation menu on the Netflix homepage.
