However, it doesn’t always work out that way for those who appear – in fact, they’re on the show for a reason: they want to create a comeback story.
In Season 2, Episode 10, which aired in 2008, Gordon Ramsay visited Fiesta Sunrise, a Mexican eatery in West Nyack, New York, to prevent a looming closure above.
But will Chef Ramsay’s efforts help them avoid impending death?

Unfortunately, the sun set quite early for Fiesta Sunrise as the facility closed after filming in 2008, reportedly before the episode aired.
Despite their best efforts to turn things around, the restaurant’s fate was still sealed, pushing it into the abyss of failed culinary projects.
What happened to Fiesta Sunrise after Kitchen Nightmares?
Mexican cuisine is one of the most famous dishes in the world, with fresh ingredients, heat and rich flavors. None of those dishes were on the menu when chef Ramsay sat down for his first meal at Fiesta Sunrise.
The curtain rises on a scene of culinary chaos, in which Ramsay faces a triple whammy of bad hygiene, unappetizing food and dysfunctional management led by the harmonious but dominant Vic.
The episode spirals into despair as Gordon discovers the use of old ingredients and the lack of authentic Mexican flavor.
Most famously, Gordon said it looked “like someone was sick on my plate” after the dish was served to him from the kitchen.
