While some stores offer the option of scooped bagels, others forgo it altogether — and according to TikToker Taylor Offer, New York City, in particular, has plenty of options when it comes to those who are Look for less bread in their bagels.

“There’s nothing more stressful than ordering a bagel in New York City,” Offer says. “I just went to a bagel shop here… I just walked in and asked for a gluten-free bagel, the guy just looked at me and said, ‘I’m not scooping your bagel [brother]’.”

Ultimately, Offer had no luck at the store and was instead told to “Get out of here with that damn thing.” However, Offer was determined to find himself a bagel and continued his search.

Ultimately, Offer was able to find a scooped bagel and told viewers, “That’s exactly what we were looking for. This is probably one of the top 10 best bagels I’ve ever had.”

But many in his comments section sided with the first store Offer tried, calling bagels a “crime.”

“I imagine a scooped bagel is like ordering a muffin and just eating the wrapper,” one person wrote. Another said: “Sorry but I find it hard to respect a scooped bagel.”
