A Reddit user has gone viral after they revealed a photo of a strange-looking red banana, leaving people confused as to what exactly happened.
From creepy “Zombie” photos to TikTok users confused by streams of NPCs on the streets, the Internet is often confused by strange actions around the world.
One person was feeling worried after they bought a bunch of bananas that all seemed fine, except for one particular fruit that seemed strange.
They posted a photo to Reddit of a strange-looking banana with a vivid red substance inside.
The post went viral, causing people to question and speculate what exactly caused Banana to appear like that.
Red bananas cause fever because there is “mushroom” inside
More than 15 thousand upvotes and hundreds of comments later, the Internet became confused as the poster asked many questions as they provided more information.
“Okay guys, I did NOT eat it with the shell on, I broke it in half to check after noticing the head looked weird, lol,” the author said.
“The interesting thing is that this banana ripens much slower than the other bananas. It’s also smaller,” they said.
“It was strangely small and the brown/orange (very hard) stuff was scattered all over the fruit,” the author said, providing even more details.
“It’s Mokillo. You should inform where you bought the banana,” one commenter said while many assumed it was some kind of fungus.
“Oh my God. So is it a mushroom? Luckily, Google says it’s not harmful. I’m worried because I’ve eaten all the remaining bananas besides this one,” the author replied.
Some people even suspected it was posted by a bot, so they posted another image to confirm, including the username of one of the disbelieving commenters on it.
Whether Bananas are harmful or not is definitely something special. In another strange happening, YouTuber Casey Neistat discovered a giant sinkhole underneath a NYC sidewalk.
