How did Marcel Marceau die?

On Wednesday, March 22, 2023, Google Doodle celebrated the 100th anniversary of the birth of Marcel Marceau, a French mime artist. Let’s start with Marcel Marceau’s birthplace and hometown. Initially, he helped smuggle Jewish children out of Nazi-occupied France using his talents. He performed pantomime to keep children quiet during particularly dangerous times on the journey to the Swiss border. Marcel made three such trips and liberated about 70 children during World War II. Sadly, Marcel’s father named Charles Mangel was killed by the Gestapo at the Auschwitz concentration camp. But his mother survived. In 1945, World War II ended and Marcel began attending the Charles Dullin School of Dramatic Art.
