Following the announcement of McDonald’s spin-off chain CosMc’s, fans are eager to know where the new stores will be located.
On December 6, McDonald’s gave fans some very exciting news. After rumors spread, the chain finally confirmed that they would be expanding and creating a new sub-chain called CosMc’s.
Introducing a brand new space-themed restaurant, the brand revealed in their first Instagram post:
“We come from a place where gravity doesn’t exist and galaxies move at the speed of light. So if you need a bold, flavorful drink and a quick getaway, we have the drinks and snacks you need to take you to your happy place.”
The menu is more reminiscent of Starbucks, with a heavy focus on sweet drinks and snacks that act as a quick stop for customers.
Excitement ensued after this announcement and people were eager to find out where these chains would be located.
Where will McDonald’s new CosMc’s location be?
So how far is the brand looking to expand? As of now, all CosMc locations will be tied to the US and everything is in beta.
It has been confirmed that the chain’s first location is Bolingbrook, Illinois, a suburb of Chicago.
It was also revealed that the brand intends to open 10 more stores, with CEO Chris Kempczinski, confirming that the 10 additional locations will all be in Texas by 2024.
They wanted to test customer reaction to the new chain for at least a year before deciding to expand to other areas of the country.
As for whether the chain will go global, Kempczinski said investors shouldn’t get too excited but also can’t completely rule out the possibility.
