The suspect was identified as a 21-year-old man named Carlos Reales Dominguez. He was arrested around 1pm on Thursday. Police arrested him at Pine Lane and Colby Drive. Several residents called the police after seeing him wandering through Sycamore Park. He faced two counts of first-degree murder and one count of attempted murder. He stabbed a 64-year-old woman named Kimberlee Guillory to death on May 1, 2023 at a homeless camp at L and Second streets. He also stabbed to death a 21-year-old man named Karim Abou Najm in Sycamore Park. And he stabbed a 50-year-old man named David Henry Breaux in Central Park.
Currently, he is in police custody. Until now he has not revealed why he carried out this attack. Dominguez is a second-year student at Davis USA. He is studying biological sciences in the university’s online catalog. But he separated on April 25, 2023 due to some academic reasons. He will appear in court on Friday, May 5, 2023.
