Chef Jack Luby prepares for season 8 of Below Deck Mediterranean
At Below Deck, the chefs often become instant fan favorites. Considering some of the crazy dinner requests from charter guests, it’s fun to see what the culinary masters can put on the plate.
According to Chef Jack, he trained in Liverpool and has been preparing dishes ever since. “I haven’t stopped since I was sixteen,” he says of his passion for cooking.
As Jack explained, one of the main reasons he decided to become a chef was so he could travel. He revealed: “The original reason for becoming a chef was to travel. “We really didn’t have the best diet growing up. Frozen meals and things… french fries and McDonalds.” Then he laughed and admitted: “I don’t think I’ve tried eating vegetables since I was sixteen.”
Luckily, Jack received support from his former co-stars of the Bravo series. In particular, he received help from former Below Deck chef Dave White.
“Good luck buddy, have a nice trip!” Dave said on Jack’s Instagram post while promoting season 8. “Please message me if you need any advice on your journey, wish I had some.”
Jack responded by praising Dave. “Thanks mate appreciate it,” he wrote. “I have a tough act to follow.”
