The Metropolitan Police now say they are trying to trace the 18-year-old from Hackney, north London. One video showed Mr. Ogarro and others walking through the open door of a wealthy home while the family was at home and filming a tour of the property. He and the others encountered a man in the house and asked where the ‘study group’ was being held. Then they left, but not before Mr. Ogarro sat on the sofa for a while. Detective Chief Superintendent James Conway of the force’s Middle East Command Unit, who heads up policing in Hackney and Tower Hamlets, added that they were aware that the video had been widely shared including on social media and mainstream media and understand the concerns it causes. In a video uploaded to his now-deleted TikTok account, he filmed himself walking up to an elderly woman sitting with her dog in a park before picking up the animal and seemingly like running away with it. Other clips show him appearing to get into a man’s car and claiming it was ‘his Uber’ to harass people on the train, tearing up books in a library and riding an electric bike through a branch of Sainsbury’s. After speaking to the Independent, Mr. Ogarro said he apologized to the homeowner the next day because he felt “sympathy and remorse” and added that he would not repeat this action in his life. He claimed that in other videos, it appeared the victim was in on the prank.
