Mumbai Police said accused Armaan Iqbal Khatri was arrested by the police a few days after they recovered a suicide note allegedly written by Darshan Solanki. The 18-year-old Dalit student of IIT Bombay wrote in the letter “Armaan Iqbal Khatri killed me”, which was recovered from Darshan Solanki’s hostel room. After finding the suicide note, the Mumbai police filed a case under Section 306 of the IPC and relevant Sections of the Scheduled Castes and Tribes Act, 1989.
