Who was Paola Linares? Texas Woman, 37, shot dead, killed in Hurst road rage incident 2023

Paola Linares, a 37-year-old immigrant from Guatemala, was killed and shot in a road rage incident in Hurst, Texas, on Monday evening. On Monday, July 10, 2023, the shooting took place around 9 p.m., while her husband Zane Jones and Paola were sitting in their minivan. Another car nearly collided with their minivan while Jones was driving, resulting in Jones hitting the other driver. According to sources, the driver of the other car did the same thing to Jones, but he also pointed a gun at their car. The driver shot through the left rear window of the following vehicle, hitting Paola.

After the shooting, Jones pulled over to the right and contacted 911. By the time first responders arrived, it was too late for her. She was taken to John Peter Smith Hospital in Forth Worth, Texas, where she died shortly before 2 a.m. Jones claimed that many people saw this person and asked them to report, while police were still searching for the attacker. Describing the incident, Zane Jones said he was driving to work at Kelly-Moore Paints. The attacker’s car then tailed him and while Jones had completed the pass and entered the right lane, the other car began to pass him. He also added that while he had disabled the driver. that’s what Paola Linares often told him not to do.

Behind the death of Paola Linares, police are still trying to identify the attacker. Her husband really wanted his wife’s killer to be caught and brought to justice. He noted that he needs the shooter to be prosecuted, arrested and jailed. “He needed the shooter to know that he wasn’t just shooting in a car and that was the end of it,” Jones said.

Just two years ago, Paola moved to the US from Guatemala. She decides to move away so she and Jones can be happily married forever. The two have been married for almost a year and a half and Paola just received her green card and driver’s license, which makes her very proud. As previously stated, police are looking for anyone with details about the driver or the car that killed and shot Paola Linares.
