According to authorities, the man jumped from the 14th floor of the building at around 11:30 p.m. on Thursday. According to the report, police received multiple calls from an unconscious person near the building on 111 Eighth Ave, and when police arrived on the scene, they found the man and took him to Bellevue Hospital. He was declared dead on arrival. Fingerprints were found near the edge of the outdoor terrace on the 14th floor, but there was no sign of a video recording of the incident or a suicide note left by the victim.

The victim, Dezirae Andersen, was found dead after falling from the roof of the OYO Times Square hotel on West 47th Street. Police said she had been fighting with her boyfriend, Tyler Griffin, shortly before her fatal plunge. Police were initially called to the hotel after reports of Griffin assaulting Andersen in her hotel room.
