Love is Blind Season 5 does not feature engaged couple Renee and Carter, but why? Fans reveal their opinions.
Love is Blind Season 5 leaves only two engaged couples preparing to walk down the aisle. However, apparently, another couple got engaged during season five but were still eliminated from the final season.
The couple in question, Renee and Carter, appeared in a meeting in Episode 7. The couple seemed quite interesting during their brief moment on screen, which begs the main question: Why? Are they not considered one of the official couples on Love Is Blind?
Why weren’t Renee and Carter introduced as an official couple in Love is Blind Season 5?
Love is Blind received a lot of criticism for the series’ fifth season. One of the reasons it was criticized by fans was because there were only two engaged couples left.
In previous seasons, at least four pairs were featured, so cutting it down to two was an adjustment.
Interestingly, there was also another engagement recorded that didn’t make it into the final season of the show.
While producers have yet to officially answer why Renee and Carter were eliminated, fans of the reality series have continued to speculate their own theories.
“I bet one of them said or did something cruel and Netflix is doing basic PR,” one fan suggested on Reddit. “With only three proposals and one not getting out of Mexico, there’s no way they can cut them any other way. It makes for a bad season.”
Another fan pointed out that Renee was likely only on the show for clout.
They added: “There were rumors circulating on TikTok that she had a long-term boyfriend while on the show. “Producers decided to get rid of her and Carter when they found out. (They went to Mexico and all). Looks like she’s married to her boyfriend now.”
Another fan also alluded to Renee and Carter’s lack of authenticity as a couple. “According to the producer’s article, they do not follow couples they consider inauthentic.”
While there’s no direct answer as to why Carter and Renee aren’t appearing on the show, the two are no longer together.
