It’s not uncommon for Gordon Ramsay to lose his temper in front of Hell’s Kitchen participants. This time, he got angry at Jason Hedin. This is why he appeared in the cooking competition.
According to the Hell’s Kitchen season 22 contestants, Jason Hedin is someone who has been rubbing his teammates the wrong way for a while.
As part of the Blue Team, he is not someone his teammates can count on to bring a lot of good, positive energy to the table. In Episode 4, he lost to Carmen Ibarra when it came time to make chicken wings for the comfort food challenge.
Things only get worse throughout the episode between him and the rest of the Blue Team. Gordon Ramsay finally lost his temper with Jason. Here’s what happened.

Gordon will often get angry when he sees food that is not prepared properly. When it comes to meat in particular, Gordon is concerned that the meat is thoroughly cooked before being given to him.
There have been too many instances of Hell’s Kitchen contestants serving raw chicken, lamb, and everything else before the dish is ready. This time, the meat in question is steak. Jason didn’t cook his steak properly and Gordon quickly noticed.
Gordon raised his voice in exasperation at Jason, shouting, “When you’re running your own empire, you call the shots!”
Luckily for Jason, the harsh feedback was enough to put him on the right track. He was finally able to deliver the steak, which Gordon approved.

However, Jason’s teammates seemed unimpressed with him. Some of their criticisms of him revolved around the fact that he displayed a rather large and constantly unchecked ego.
The Blue Team was so tired of dealing with Jason that they nominated him for elimination along with Mattias. Mattias was the one ultimately sent home, but Team Blue might have preferred to see Jason eliminated.
