A woman and her friend have criticized customers who block others from seeing their PIN while queuing to pay.
Whether buying groceries or paying for gas, shopping at stores is a daily task that many people do.
While cash is still accepted everywhere, shoppers everywhere have become accustomed to using debit or credit cards.
And when using cards, some customers even hide their PIN codes while waiting in line to pay.
Since then, one woman has criticized those who decided to hide their PINs, leaving TikTokers to debate her point of view.
TiToker disputes the normality of hiding PIN codes when paying
A woman recently mocked people who hide their PIN when paying. In doing so, she acted out a scene in the self-checkout line at Target.
In her TikTok video, she wrote a sarcastic text that read: “When customers cover their pin codes while they are paying.”
Her friend in the video then said those words in a recording saying, “B*tch, we don’t want your mom’s peach cobbler recipe, b*tch!”
She is then seen hovering over the screen where you enter your four-digit PIN after making a purchase.
Although this woman has gone viral for criticizing customers who hide their PINs, TikTokers still have many opinions, including: “I did it because there was someone in line behind me looking over my shoulder.”
And “I do this when someone is too close in line.”
However, some viewers joked about people covering their PINs: “I don’t know why people do that. You need to know the card number to use the PIN.”
On the other hand, viewers already know that it’s possible to get robbed in a parking lot after reading your PIN.
And while TikTokers debate the normality of hiding your PIN when paying, there’s apparently no clear rule on whether it’s necessary.
