A woman hoping to sell her engagement ring took to TikTok to share the “creepy” messages she received via Facebook Marketplace after listing it.

In this era of modern dating, social media has become a popular method used by singles to find their match.

From dating apps to Instagram to Snapchat, there are countless stories of people meeting “the one” while online dating. But what about meeting through Facebook Marketplace?

Not exactly known for her romantic connections, one woman was surprised when her Facebook list made many men move. And they used the fact that she was selling an engagement ring as an opportunity to slide into her DMs.

Camille Fahrnbauer, 26, decided to sell her 1.6-carat diamond ring after a hiking accident forced her to quit her job.

Nursing an injury and having been abandoned by her husband two years earlier in February, Camille decided it was the right time to earn “a few extra thousand” and sell her engagement ring.

However, many of the messages she received were from men who weren’t really interested in making a purchase but were instead hoping to go on a date; “I’m not looking for a ring yet. Am I bold in my shot?

“[To be honest] I really don’t want the ring, I would rather use the ring to remarry you,” another person wrote.

Luckily, Camille was able to find a buyer and use her newfound freedom and money for a trip to Italy… with her friends and not one of those “creepy” guys texting Message her on Facebook.

Calling the cheeky messages “Facebook Marketplace Rizz,” Camille instead posted the screenshot to her TikTok, hilariously offering some advice in her caption; “Ladies, remove Hinge [and] download Facebook Marketplace.”

On top of that, one of Camille’s viewers even recognized the suitor in her message and commented, “None of these men are my good friends. Now he will never live like this again. Go directly to [GROUP CHAT].”
